Meet The Author

My name is Matt Ballance. I live in Hendersonville, North Carolina with my wife and two boys. I drive a ladder truck for Asheville Fire Department.

I’ve been writing on and off for years, but I’m trying to become more serious about it. I’m currently working on finishing on transfer credits with the thought that I will pursue a degree in Creative Writing at UNC-Asheville over the next few years.

I’m an avid reader, with much of my attention being geared toward both modern-day and 20th century southern and appalachian lit.
